Venezia Series
Context
The “Venezia Series” comprises impressions in watercolor, which were created at various locations in the city of Venice. The organically interwoven city structure provided the inspiration for the surface structures and their location on the paper.
Each individual picture was painted at a different location in the city. The pictures were then joined together to form triptiches.
In a broader sense, viewing and selecting suitable spatial constellations is of course an essential part of this approach.
